Restaurant ... eat well
Good food is at the heart of our business and our restaurant is contemporary by blending the old with the new.
Head Chef Bill Gott has created a modern British Menu with International influences. All our meat is sourced from local farms and fresh fish is delivered from neighbouring Brixham on a daily basis, even our free range eggs are from Bulleigh Farm less than ¼ a mile away.
The basis of Bill’s menus combine ingredients with a touch of individuality, a few exotic ingredients and a modern light touch to produce dishes with an emphasis on flavour, without being fussy.

Our menus change with the seasons and in the Summer you may find ... fresh local crab salads grilled Cornish sardines ... In the winter typical dishes include…steamed lamb pudding, pear and toffee crumble ...
We are always happy to be flexible with the menus so please ask if there is something ...
Our wine list is based on value and variety with 9 wines by the glass including, rose sparkling and champagne. We do not believe in the stuffy service of wine, but we will immediately replace a bottle if there is something not right. We can of course, if requested, offer traditional service.

Our contemporary restaurant has a relaxed and informal atmosphere, with a growing reputation which has been recognized by Michelin Pub Guide and Alistair Sawdays ‘special places to stay’. The restaurant is a very popular reason for staying.
The dining areas are separated into three distinctive areas, The fireside named for obvious reasons, the Mill room and the panel room which is ideal for parties up to 25.
On a warm summers day the outside decking area and garden is the most tranquil of places to dine.
