With the Christmas season fast approaching, it's a great time to get out and about and get into the festive spirit. Here's our 10 suggestions for things to do on the run up to everyone's favourite holiday.

Exeter Cathedral Winter Fair

When: 8th November - 9th November

A range of 60 or so stalls hand picked from across the UK will be selling a selection of gifts, crafts, homeware, jewellery, clothing, and much more, with 10% of sales going to the cathedral. The cathedral itself will be free admission throughout the event.

Candlelit Dartmouth

When: 25th November - 26th November

Candlelit Dartmouth celebrates its 10th anniversary with a fantastic Christmas market, entertainers and musicians, carol singing, kids workshops, entertainment, and Santa's grotto, plus the switching on of the Christmas lights, and much more.

Lanterns, Lights, and 'luminations at Brixham

When: 26th November

Head down to Brixham's quay and enjoy the picturesque sights as the quaint fishing town is taken into the festive season with the switching on of the Christmas lights and an illuminating lantern parade.

Cockington Court Christmas Fayre

3rd December - 4th December

Cockington Court's galleries and studios will be open to give you some inspiration for Christmas gifts; there will also be craft and food stalls, santa rides, mince pies, and mulled wine to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Cockington Court will also be open for late night shopping on Wednesday 7th, 14th, and 21st December.

Totnes' Christmas market offers a great range of stalls from local traders and producers, plus local entertainment from choirs, bands, and more, a Santa's grotto, and some delicious food and drink on offer.
